Aaron Mullens - 2022 Region II Coach of the Year

At the helm of the Murray State College Softball program, Coach Aaron Mullens enters his seventh season with an overall record of 199-75 (.724). Previously, Mullens also served as the Murray State Athletic Director from 2021-22 before stepping down earlier this summer. He is still currently serving as the College’s Health and Wellness Program Department Chair.

Amber Flores enters her 10th season as the Head Coach of the Trojan softball program. While at Seminole, Flores has had tremendous success coaching nine All- Americans as well as having sixty-two Academic All Americans. Coach Flores has led her team to four reginal tournament titles including the last three season in a row. The 2019 season included a 46-game winning streak and a #1 seed in the NJCAA National Championships. Coach Flores has an .800% winning percentage with an overall record of 380 wins and 83 losses.

Raydon Leaton has been the head Jets baseball coach for nineteen years. His teams have been to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II World Series four times in his career, including three of the last six years. The Jets finished 8th place in 2014 and 3rd place in 2002 and 2018. The 2019 team reached the ultimate pinnacle of athletics by winning the World Series claiming their first National Championship with record-breaking attendance at the David Allen Memorial Ballpark in Enid. Leaton has had 13 NJCAA All Americans, 73 Academic All Americans, and 678 wins in his 19 years. His teams have had over a 3.0 GPA in all 19 years. He has won five Region II Coach of the Year awards and four Plains District Coach of the Year awards. Leaton was also named the 2019 ABCA/Diamond National Coach of the Year for NJCAA Division II Baseball. His career record at NOC is 676-432.
