2021 Distinguished Service Recipient - Louis Whorton

Hall of Fame Basketball Coach Louis Whorton compiled a 648-277 win-loss record over 30 years in the NJCAA and NCAA Division II. Coach Whorton’s WestArk/UA Fort Smith teams made seven appearances in the NJCAA National tournament with his 1994-1995 team winning the NJCAA National Tournament. Coach Whorton was inducted into the UAFS Athletics Hall of Fame in 2019. Louis Whorton passed away in December of 2021.
